"For my painting this time around, I took on the amazing 1988 anime Akira, based on the manga by Katsuhiro Otomo. I’ve been meaning to capture Tetsuo’s climactic metamorphosis for some time, and this seemed the perfect opportunity. It was an extremely short timeline, and the restraint made me push that much harder. I’m very pleased with the result.
